Summary
A nightmare at 20,000 feet is nothing compared to what greets you at your final destination...

'Emergency Landing' by Seanan McGuire is one of 18 short horror stories in Nightfire's audio anthology. Come Join Us by the Fire Season 2 is the second installment of Nightfire's audio horror anthology, featuring a wide collection of short stories from emerging voices in the horror genre as well as longtime fan favorites. The collection showcases the breadth of talent writing in the horror genre today, with contributions from a wide range of genre luminaries like Seanan McGuire, T. Kingfisher, and Caitlín R. Kiernan; it includes stories from Nightfire’s own Cassandra Khaw (Nothing But Blackened Teeth) and Silvia Moreno-Garcia (Certain Dark Things); and from rising stars like Nibedita Sen, Matthew Lyons, and Jessica Guess. Plus, it has Nick Antosca’s “The Quiet Boy,” now a major motion picture, Antlers, starring Keri Russell.

So short and still so powerful! I am amazed by how good this short story was, I was in the edge of my seat the entire time. I loved everything about this story, the ending was shocking! I highly highly recommend this short horror story!

A freaky scenario read well.

I think the narrator could have given a little more emotion in certain areas. She became almost flat lined where I would have imagined that she would be in absolute terror.

This book is pure trash. Terrible narration and awful author.

a very short story but wow. pretty hard-hitting. Bio weapon launched by a group of clean slaters that want to wipe out every living thing to start over

Didn’t like the story but it was read well.

Very easy to put yourself in the situation and the circumstance. How would I react, how would others react/interact. Plausible premise without a leap into science fiction or fantacy. Very nicely done by someone knowing the only outcome. Nicely read!
