Unabridged Audiobook
Combing Dooku's Jedi backstory with Ventress's Sith backstory was a great juxtaposition. Ventress slowly learning more about Dooku along with the listener, while getting bits of her own backstory along the way was an interesting way of doing things. I'm also glad Scott took the time to iron out her very messy backstory which we saw glimpses of in The Clone Wars TV series. All in all, it's a great look into both Dooku's character and the Jedi Order before and after The Phantom Menace. If you're a fan of Count Dooku you're going to love listening to this!
Wasn't what I was expecting, as far the storyline. It's basically a complete backstory about Dooku's life before the movies, but it's told thru the eyes of Asajj in the clone wars timeframe. That being said, the narration is on point and my only complaint is the book was TOO SHORT!!! Left me wanting more. If that ca be considered a flaw. LMAO
Great book, like listening to a movie, great fun
it starts off kinda boring but it builds up as the story unfolds. great background story of count dooku.
Cliched. Repetitive. Unimaginative. use the force. let the force guide you, over and over and over and over. Boring characters. This book should be rewritten by James Luceno or Drew Karpshyn. These authors really peel back the layers and provide character insight as well as superb plot development. Major Disappointment!!!
What a fantastic way to start my Star Wars journey. This is the first book I have read involving the characters and I was not disappointed. The voice acting was amazing. I especially want to give credit to those who voiced Yoda and Qui-Gon Jinn. I had heard the name Sifo-Dyas in Attack of the Clones but this story really does a wonderful job of fleshing him out. This book has me excited to continue reading.

still working through this, this was the reason I subscribed btw, Star Wars works in this medium imho, the voice actors are amazing, still getting used to Qui Gon having a more pronounced irish/scottish accent then Liam Neeson gave him onscreen, but still amazing, a great explanation of Dooku's descent to the dark side, MORE OF THESE PLEASE
Listening to this book feels very much like listening to a proper radio drama. The voice actors do a tremendous job, and though the resolution of the story is not a huge surprise, learning of Dooku's history provides complexity to an otherwise fairly one-dimensional villan. This book is also a good set-up for 'Master and Apprentice' by Claudia Gray.
POTENTIAL SPOILER ALTERNATE!! Fantastic book. I didn't know we needed this book until I heard it. It adds so much more depth to the character, and really raises the stakes. We see Dooku as a multi-dimensional character rather than your typical villain. We see his rise and his fall, and how he came to be. It was fantastic. I wish they expanded on why Genza betrays Dooku to the Jedi or Dooku's 'plan' for Sereeno. I also wish we seen more of Yoda and Dooku training other than the small segment we get. I found it hard to believe I was listening to Dooku as his voice actor was also the voice actor for the Sith in Star Wars: The Old Republic, but it grew on me. The other voice actors were superb to say the least. Overall 7/10.

Well written you get to find out more about Characters, and upbringings defiantly recommend it if like me your a hardcore StarWars Nerd
