Unabridged Audiobook
Cute book. Easy to listen to.
I enjoy Freida McFadden novels, but this one? No bueno. Unless you’re in the medical field, there is no point in reading this book. Speaking of points, there is none. No point of suspense, plot or closure. It was truly just the same bad day chapter after chapter. The characters we meet? No idea what becomes of them other than Jane and Ryan. If you read this novel you’ll get this reference: 99% chance I will never recommend this book.
I suppose this was meant to be a rom-com but it was neither. Medical facts were correct so well done on that part. However the main character, Jane McGill, was so stupid, so naive & so whiny it was impossible to like her or to believe she could be real. I’ve worked with “newly minted” doctors & this character is an insult to all their hard work & study. None of them whined about sleepless nights, they knew it was part of the job & just got on with it. Listening to this story made me so irritable but I don’t like not finishing a book in case it is redeemed at the end but unfortunately this one wasn’t. The narrator was good, maybe too good at making Jane so unlikeable!
Meh. Cute, but just meh.
Not my favorite but very enjoyable!
