Unabridged Audiobook
An amazing and well-told story. From a very personal vantage point, it provided a spotlight for the heroism and strength of the Danish people during the Holocaust. The narrator’s ability to portray Britta and allow you to experience her earlier life was mesmerizing.
Thoroughly enjoyed the audio book though there were a few times where the stereotypes of both the grandstanding attorney and the fawning media types stretched my appreciation for the narrative. Britta's narrative was riveting both in debriefing with her attorney and in sharing with her granddaughter. The ending, won't give it away, an effective representation of the heroism and unity of the Danes during the dark days of the German occupation.
Meaningful and well told.
