Unabridged Audiobook
Much better of a follow up book than the previous, "Apocalypse. " The story is stronger and takes us through many locations and side characters than the previous. It makes for much better story telling. This is more in line with the 1st 3 books.
As always Dean Koontz delivers another exciting 'memoir' from Odd Thomas.a must read!
Narrator was excellent and highly listenable. The plot wasn’t as good as previous novels.
good series, great narration. Odd Thomas is sn awesome character.
Bizarre, creative, fresh. This novel had me both amused and intrigued right from the start. A very unique story concept. Well-worth the read. I loved the word choice and figurative language use throughout the novel. I never read the other novels in the series but didn't feel lost or like I had missed anything. The characters are well-developed and strangely believable even in this bizarre reality, probably because they believe it themselves. The reader of the novel had an incredibly diverse vocal range. Rarely can I buy in to a male portraying a female character, without being slightly irritated by the decidedly fake bass tones overriding what is meant to be dulcet female ones. He, however, occilates between bass to tennor male voices and female voices (young to old) with natural ease. It was a pleasure to listen to and I will be seeking more novels read by him.
