Unabridged Audiobook
The book left me wanting more. The narration was a little hard to handle cause I found Erin’s voice dragged. She almost seemed bored. But it’s a really great story. Think I’ll stick with the ebooks for the next two in this series.
Jericho Forge is a man who commands attention from those around him – us included. I find it interesting that he starts us off on this latest book from Meghan March. He wants us to know who is in charge of our latest adventure. India Baptiste is the one who will give us a woman’s impression of this alpha male. Or is he a knight in shining armor? If you love to listen to your books than this will be a great addition to your library. You can never go wrong when you have narrators such as Joe Arden and Erin Mallon. They will have your imaginations kicking into gear right from the very beginning. The other thing that gets your imagination going is the scenes that our author has created. But they are the ones that give the words life. As I’m listening, I had the urge to travel. Would I be able to find the world that exists in this book? The only thing I might have an issue with is seasickness. But the good thing is that you can’t get seasick when listening to a book. Although, you could listen to this book while soaking in a tub. I’ve always loved the clawfooted tubs but I think this book calls for one of the new modern ones. Just be careful because if you get lost in the story, like I did, you may end up coming out like a prune. I knew going in that this was the first book of a trilogy. Once I got started listening I totally forgot that fact. I’m happily going along wondering if Jericho is the angel or the devil of the piece and then our author has my mind going in a totally different direction. The ending had me saying “what just happened” and “when can I get my hands on book two”. Ms. March never disappoints. I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
not what I was expecting..
it keot me wanting to know what happened next
Way to go Meaghan March! Another brilliant Billionaire Trilogy. Not sure how many single, hot billionaires are out there but she sure has a gift of finding (creating) them. I can only wish she could send one my way. Her ability to describe her characters and the places they live is a talent not many other writers have. She gives just the right amount of detail so you can picture it in your own mind without too much to make it boring or unimaginable. Love how she brings in characters from previous books and sets up these characters to appear in other stories. Although we all know that the guy is going to get the girl in the end, how they get there is definitely worth your time to find out.
the story could have been good if it wasnt for making the female lead so damn obsessed with the male. like come on...
This is the my first experience with this author. It was great but very short. Great alpha male romance. Gritty and entertaining. I loved the narrator. Listening to second in series.
Great book. Erin Mallon voice is great except when she draws it out with an attempt to inflect drama? I am unsure. It is distracting and takes away from her talent. I mean this with the utmost respect. The authors are key to making the book enjoyable and Erin voice is great if she left that part out.
MUST read series
