Unabridged Audiobook
Tracy writes the type of YA fiction I wish existed when I was a kid. The way she weaves themes of consent/autonomy, breaking down systemic abuses of power, coping with grief/loss, and the strange, beauty of found family in amongst the high school dramas and puppy (or maybe dragon-puppy?) love is truly masterful. She does love a good cliffhanger though, and I’m ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT waiting for the next book in the series every time.
I can read this again and again.
I found this book to be very captivating.
Greatness continues. Surprises around every corner
I very much enjoy the concept and the plot of this series. However, the writing has been a bit disappointing. I initially believed that it would get better as the series went on. However, it’s my opinion that is hasn’t. The author uses too many repetitive words and phrases, over using “Not going to lie” and “Can I just say”, just to name a couple of them. It seems to take the writer too long to get to an outcome, as it feels like she’s just fluffing the novel in general. It could be, that this series is meant for very YA, and I am much older and at a different readers level. But, I enjoy these storylines and was hoping I found another captivating series. Unfortunately, this hasn’t met my expectations so far and I feel obligated to get through this series, because I am no quitter.
Great read.
I finished it in three days
Oh man! Tracey comes through and doesn't disappoint... at...all!
This series is one of my very few favorites! I actually think it is one of 3 book series that I could enjoy over and over.
