Summary
The epic series from #1 New York Times bestselling author Sarah J. Maas continues with a stunning story of love, war, and revenge.

Feyre has returned to the Spring Court, determined to gather information on Tamlin’s actions and learn what she can about the invading king threatening to
bring her land to its knees. But to do so she must play a deadly game of deceit. One slip could bring doom not only for Feyre but for everything—and everyone she holds dear.

As war bears down upon them all, Feyre endeavors to take her place as one of the High Fae of the land, balancing her struggle to master her powers—both
magical and political—and her love for her court and family. Amidst these struggles, Feyre and Rhysand must decide whom to trust among the cunning and
lethal High Lords, and hunt for allies in unexpected places.

In this thrilling third book in the Court of Thorns and Roses series, the fate of Feyre’s world is at stake as armies grapple for power over the one thing that could destroy it.

I hesitated reading this series, because the narrator was not Elizabeth Evans, and after spending a few weeks submerged in the ToG series, I didn't know how I'd feel about a different voice bringing me back into the world of the Fey. I am happy I did though, as I laughed out loud in very awkward places, and spent one night hunched over a project crying at the kitchen table. Admittedly I found the characters could be a little blah - their development sometimes confusing - and there are some traits that are classic Sarah J. Maas (found in ToG series as well). The bitter end of that final battle had me giving Sarah a vulgar gesture - thankfully she redeemed herself. Sidebar: I really wish Feyre and our assassin (whose name I can't spell since I haven't actually "read" the books) - would meet. Crossover, please! Sidebar 2: the narrator for 1 and 2 wasn't nearly as good as this one.

The best of all. I want more of the author, who has a particular way to tell a story and cunning creativity

even better than the first one. I cried and laughed and was shocked at the loving twist but it was so necessary. love the voice of the narrator, she can change the tone to impersonate different people. but her voice is still close and warm. can't wait to hear the next one!

Definitely the best one out of the 3 read so far. Not saying that the first two were not good because they definitely were but this one was intense, and I could not put it down. couldn’t put the first two down either but this one truthfully, I did not work for three days straight because all I could do is read. So if you have stuff you need to get done don’t read this book:)

If you can allow yourself to not be picky about the fact that the writer uses hissed, clicked her/his tongue, gutteral, wholly and countless other words over and over and over and over and over, you will love this story. The smut part of it can be more teenage like rather than grown woman but I loved it.

I really enjoyed listening. Even though the audio is, as the previous audios in this series, all over 23 hours long, it didn’t feel too long. Very good narration. I did get a bit tired of all the self sacrificing, however. Thank goodness the high fairies heal so well!

Fabulous end to the series!! At first, the new narrator was jarring (I especially missed how the first one did Rhysand’s sultry voice) but it’s not too bad after a while I got used to the change and just focused on the story. I binged this ACOTAR series, listening to all 3 books back to back and despite the narration change for me each story kept getting better and better. This is some of the best fantasy, romance and action writing I have ever read. The first book in the series was a bit slow, it had more of an old school fairy tale vibe as it was a loose retelling of Beauty and the Beast. The second and third books were stellar. I fell in love with Rhys and his inner circle and was quite happy to see characters from book one like Lucien, Nesta and Elain play a role in this story, there was a lot of family and romantic drama. The final battles were epic. It was amazing the character growth that Feyre went through over the series. I enjoyed most of the new characters and juicy drama between the Fae courts. For me each book in this series was slightly better than the last. A really stellar epic fantasy series.

This is the third long book in a series of long books. Though I enjoyed the others, I quit this book about halfway through it. I will not complete this series. The narrator was good in the portrayal of all characters.

Another brilliant book. Narration excellent. I am looking forward to the next book. The writer is very gifted, born to write this kind of books. Very well done indeed

Maas can write sex scenes effectively. Battle sequences and political intrigue, however, are VERY POORLY described, and there's a lot of both in this book. Also, every character's motivation, and therefore all the action in this series, seems to be driven by the sexual preferences of an adolescent girl, who is a Mary Sue. Hilariously bad.

I loved this series. I finished the entire series in less than a week. I felt like some of the descriptive words or phrases were repeated a bit much but other than that, the story gently eased me into a fanatical world of fairies and castles. Thank you.
