Summary
Margaret Mary, the eldest Concannon sister, is a glass artist with an independent streak as fierce as her volatile temper. Hand-blowing glass is a difficult and exacting art, and while she may produce the delicate and the fragile, Maggie is a strong and opinionated woman, a Clare woman, with all the turbulence of that fascinating west country. One man, Dublin gallery owner Rogan Sweeney, has seen the soul in Maggie’s art, and vows to help her build a career. When he comes to Maggie’s studio, her heart is inflamed by their fierce attraction—and her scarred past is slowly healed by love…“The attraction that springs up between this unlikely pair is both believable and compelling, thanks to Roberts’ skillful character development…The conflicts Maggie and Rogan face are refreshingly realistic and the characters themselves, well-rounded and likable, will keep readers engaged.” —Publishers Weekly“Roberts’ style is earthy, realistic and makes for an entirely believable read.” —The Romance Reader

Great book. Makes me think about my roots.

The story wasn't bad -- few of Roberts' stories are -- but it took a couple of CDs worth before I could get comfy with the narration. And, even after that there were moments when the voice over-shadowed the story.

This book was just okay in my opinion. I haven't listened to the rest of this series yet, and maybe that will alter my opinion of this book just being mediocre. The narrator was so irritating at points in this book I wanted to pull my hair out, but was tolerable through most of it.

Don't know if this is a good story or not...I couldn't listen more than 30 minutes of the 1st CD; the narrator was absolutely horrible. Probably the worse I've ever listened to. Returned this audiobook book the same day I received it.

I liked the story but this is one instance where I liked the actually reading the book better, not sure if it was the narrator or not, but will continue with the series and see if it gets any better.

I loved this story of Irish sisters. The narrator was excellent. It was predictable but really well written and the story rich and full.

This is the first book in the "Born In" Trilogy. The narrator did a pretty nice job of the Irish accent and didn't distract from the story. Roberts does a phenomenal job in making you feel for the main character regarding her tenuous relationship with her mother. I wouldn't say this is one of Nora Roberts' best, but I do love her trilogies.
