Unabridged Audiobook
Great book. Makes me think about my roots.
The story wasn't bad -- few of Roberts' stories are -- but it took a couple of CDs worth before I could get comfy with the narration. And, even after that there were moments when the voice over-shadowed the story.
This book was just okay in my opinion. I haven't listened to the rest of this series yet, and maybe that will alter my opinion of this book just being mediocre. The narrator was so irritating at points in this book I wanted to pull my hair out, but was tolerable through most of it.
Don't know if this is a good story or not...I couldn't listen more than 30 minutes of the 1st CD; the narrator was absolutely horrible. Probably the worse I've ever listened to. Returned this audiobook book the same day I received it.
Great series!!! One of my favorite by Nora Roberts. Make sure to listen to them in order: Fire, Ice, Shame.
Great story and great reader. It keep my interest from start to finish.
I liked the story but this is one instance where I liked the actually reading the book better, not sure if it was the narrator or not, but will continue with the series and see if it gets any better.
I loved this story of Irish sisters. The narrator was excellent. It was predictable but really well written and the story rich and full.
This is the first book in the "Born In" Trilogy. The narrator did a pretty nice job of the Irish accent and didn't distract from the story. Roberts does a phenomenal job in making you feel for the main character regarding her tenuous relationship with her mother. I wouldn't say this is one of Nora Roberts' best, but I do love her trilogies.
