Summary
No book from the Bible is more controversial than the Book of Revelation, the last book and the only apocalypse book of the New Testament. Authors of an apocalypse were given a revelation in a vision and passed it on in writing, a style that was not uncommon at the time the book was written. This style of writing results in language that is highly pseudonymous and rich in symbolic imagery, and furthermore the importance of the visions described are never in their immediate literal meaning.

For many, the purpose of the book of Revelation is a message of comfort during a time of conflict, which ultimately results in a conquest and a victory over the oppressor. Although directly written to the Christians of the First Century, the message is applicable throughout the ages.

There is so much to learn from this, my favorite, book of the Bible. The end times prophesy is so vivid with much being fulfilled today. Every Christian should read this book and doing so on this application is great. I am a slow reader but listening during my commute I was able to hear the whole book in less than two days . Easy to use, flexible. I love audiobooks.com!

Will listen over and over. This book is a treasure of Jesus' Word on things to come and how we need to pray. Today as this book is happening it is a great reference to see it unfold in our time. As believes we need to prepare those who don't know Jesus. We need to help in any way we can to spread the gospel. I love the narration and can enjoy it as I am better at listening than reading.

The last, prophetic book of the Bible, much of which has come true, is currently happening and which is yet to come. Plenty of mispronounced words. Next time, I'll see if reducing the speed helps, as the author seems to really race along. Very enjoyable. The Bible is not just a book to read quickly once over, but is our guide book. We are not to add to it. It is complete. The Revelations of John who was boiled in oil for following Christ but didn't die and was exiled to the Greek Isle of Patmos is very relevant and astonishing!

Good listening voice. Easy to back up for repeats. Concise Biblical reference I. E. chapter and verses. It’s free for goodness sake! What’s to not appreciate after that?!
