Summary
Blockchain and crypto currency mining as received a lot of attention in the past few decade, subsequently it is therefore understandable that so many books (Hardcopies and E-books), articles and publishing have been released for public information in the past few years about the subject matter of “blockchain”. A major loophole in recent publications is that they haven’t specifically described the working process of blockchain in ways that a non-specialist can understand; this book, however, breaks down the working process of blockchain to details that anyone can read up on. if you are interested in learning the intricate working processes of blockchain or you’re just looking to gather more general information, then this book is for you. Instead of searching through a plethora of books online without valuable information and getting yourself sunken into the vast abyss of nonsensical books that are sometimes too brief or too advance, this book breaks it down from the ground up. The technicality of crypto books might also cause you to lose interest totally, something which could be avoided if you found yourself a good book that discusses everything in a way that both beginners and experts can understand.

IN THIS BOOK, YOU WILL LEARN ABOUT:

UNDERSTANDING THE BLOCKCHAIN

Beginner's guide is innacruate. I would say it is a CS or coding novice's guide to blockchain.

Thankfully the writing style and narrative focus on time and people woven throughout made the more technical aspects very accessible for a novice like me. There are some tutorials that allow the more technologically astute to close the know-do gap.

When I first picked it up, I was expecting an authoritative view of blockchain from some of the early pioneers. It does not disappoint on that front. However, it surprised me to find the authors have designed a thoughtful learning framework for helping the reader unpack, navigate and create understanding of this new technology.

So much better than trying to google about blockchain and getting lost in the middle of cryptocurrencies. Authors have done a great job. It's simple to understand even for non technical people.

It was a great introduction to the complexity of the Blockchain concept, but in a magnificently simple and easy to understand book

It explained the decentralized database concept and coordinating agreement on an append-only history of transactions across a peer-to-peer network. The nature of a decentralized database with no central authority. The DLT or (distributed ledger technology) running on a peer-to-peer network, so that all peers hold the database locally. The entire community verifies accuracy. There is “one truth” using consensus protocols!
