Unabridged Audiobook
The book was very good and the characters were well developed. Enjoying the book via audio was a bonus. It made a long drive feel much shorter.
I was in love with this novel until the end. It was dissatisfying on 3 levels. All in all, Gruen did what she does - create a beautiful and gritty setting with deeply enriched characters but this time, left me wanting for a better ending.
Narration is great. Captivating story line though some parts felt a little funny and I didn't love the dip into the fantastic world in an otherwise realistic fiction. The characters were well developed and I enjoyed their struggle with the historical time.
This woman's voice was very annoying. It was difficult for me to even get into the story, because of how she voiced Angus and some of the other males. The story was good, but not the 5 stars that was Water for Elephants.
Narrators voice is ANNOYING!!! To bad because the bookies great!
Entrancing book, I couldn't put it down. I look forward to reading more books from this author.
