I am going to Miss Fitz
What an amazing journey this saga has been! Our last adventure with Fitz, Nighteyes, and the Fool did not disappoint. I was on the edge of my seat from the build up to the bitter-sweet end. Though I am sad that we must say goodbye to this series, Robin Hobb did right by our boys. She gave us a satisfying ending, and left us wanting more. I enjoyed every minute of the story, and even shed a few tears at the end. I really hope there will be more books to come featuring some of the characters we have grown to love! On the other hand, the narrator was just awful! The accents were over the top, and not in keeping with the characters. Kettricken, Chade, and a few others sounded so pretentious that I might have disliked their characters all together had I not read the other series. The Fool's accent was simply painful to listen to. Like nails on a chalkboard every time he spoke. It neatly ruined his character for me completely. I wish this narrator would have listened to the previous narror's readings in order to make sure hus accents were in keeping with the rest of the series.
I agree it has been a journey. Sad to see it end. There are no words to say how I feel. Farewell Fitz, The Fool, and Night Eyes.
Enjoying the triumphant journey and conclusion to Robin Hobb's epic fantasy.
