Unabridged Audiobook
I loved the hook. Grocery girl meets the appcolypse and deals with it. Other than that, I thought the book reveled in gore; revealed some frightening issues about the author. The characters were 2 dimensional and lacked any sort of depth. As for the narrator, I thought the voices were a bit... generic. I also didn't like her dramatic changes in volume. I'd like to think a narrator can convey emotions and a well done story with out shouting.
good start to a series I'm Def excited to see what happens next worth rhe read
Loved it from start to finish.
Great start, looking forward to the rest. Baileigh is one of my current fave authors. Such fun in her writing.
I am a recent convert to books about zombies and have really enjoyed Baileigh Higgins’ previous zombie books. In this, the first in the series, the characters are really likeable. They are ordinary people who find that they have hidden strengths and talents when faced with a calamity in their lives. They make mistakes, some of them big but carry on. I liked the fact that Baileigh Higgins explored different angles such as what it is like to become part zombie and live to tell the tale. A great listen and highly recommended.
I loved this book, it kept me on the edge of my seat, transfixed through to the end. Dylan was the kind of Heroine that really appeals, she's tough, resilient, and doesn't know the meaning of giving up, she's a fighter and she's in this to the bitter end - others, not hers! I can't wait to start the next book, the narration was fantastic, 5 stars all round. I received this book in exchange for my honest review.
I listened to the audio on the audiobooks.com app. The narrator, Kristin James, has a nice tone to her voice. She does a good job giving a clear, quality performance. Recommend listening if you have the chance. This book is a story happening during the beginning stages of a zombie apocalypse. There are 2 different storylines going on; following 3 people, the POVs are Dylan, Amy, and Alex. Entertaining, fun story! Love zombies! Love how the story gets right into the action! Dylan gets instantly bitten, but finds an improbable clue to a possible cure, so she sets out on a journey to Fort Knox. As you can expect, the danger is high on the road, and not just from the zombies. She’s a tough cookie! Her story goes in some interesting ways. 16 year old Amy’s parents have been bitten and died, so she’s waiting at their farm for her older brother, who is expected to arrive soon. Alex is trying to get back home to help his sister, but he too is finding danger on the road. All characters are in for a crazy, bloody zombie adventure. I decided to go with a 4 rating because I enjoyed the whole story, but would’ve liked a bit more depth to the characters and maybe some romance. This book has a satisfying end, but there’s more story to be had in the next books. Looking forward to checking those out!
This is another great start in a new series from Mrs. Higgins The narrator Kristin James really brought the story and characters to life. This is a new take on the Zombie apocalypse and I really enjoyed this book and the meeting new characters. If you like a story with reliable characters and a lot of action and a very fast pace then this author is for you. So get the books and leave your reviews.
