Summary
International speaker and empowerment coach Shannon Kaiser understands why so many of us, despite our best intentions, cling to unhealthy patterns. Better yet, Kaiser knows how to get us out of the vicious, draining cycle. Committed to finding meaning, connection, and joy in our day-to-day lives, she's traveled the world in search of the universal truths and spiritual wisdom we desperately need today. Joy Seeker is her transformational approach to life, drawn from her own life-changing experiences. It is a path to discovering our true self-the hero within.

With the Joy Seeker plan, you will learn how to: get unstuck and discover what matters most; regain hope and faith in yourself, others, and the world; discover the 'poetry within'-that special thing that makes you so unique; gain the courage to actualize yourself and your deepest desires; and live with more purpose, passion, and freedom.

The path of the Joy Seeker is an intimate, active pursuit filled with opportunities for journaling as well as 'Joy Jaunts'-exercises designed to help us break out of our comfort zone. It's time to become your best self. It's time to live worry-free in your wildest dreams. It's time to be your own Joy Seeker.

So beautifully written. Narrator speaks from the heart with such enthusiasm when reading Shannon’s words. The book has really great questions to reflect on after each section, and encourages writing in a journal to notice and change behavioural habits. Such an emphasis on how we have complete control of the joy we feel in our lives and I am fully convinced and impressed by her words.

I really liked listening this book. And love the natural voice, with all the emotions. I usually listen my books while driving, so is hard to do the exercises, so I relistening to it on my me-time, so I can do the homework. Considering to buy the actual book, so I can be able to read, reread a question as I like, it is harder with a recording.

The concepts are the same that you hear in AA and in religious teachings. But, hearing this stuff in multiple formats helps it to sync in! The book is read in a voice that's a little too mellow/calm for me. I was driving and needed to shut it off a few times and switch to lively music.

Good book, inspiring but a bit redundant at times. I enjoyed listening to it in my long drive.

I wanted to like this book, I bought a new journal and pens for the occasion but the narration is so incredibly patronising. The author reads this a tone to her voice as if she’s achieved the enlightenment of Siddhartha and the listener is the lowly peasant she’s throwing a scrap to. Honestly I couldn’t get more than 2 hours of it done and even that was laborious.
