I highly recommend this read. It starts off slow but once it picks up, the twists and turns kept me completely riveted. It unfolds layer by layer while the mystery unravels. If you like stories about puzzles, betrayal, and time loops, this is the book for you! I enjoyed the narration and the various voices he was able to create.

I really loved this book!! It had my mind spinning and trying to puzzle it out the entire time. I thought it was very well written and creative. I thought the narrator did a great job of keeping all the voices straight. I usually listen at 1.5-2x but with this storyline was at 1.25 and it was a good speed. I would suggest reading the intro about the book on the back cover or from an online source. Also it would be nice if the guest list read at the very first along with the map could be linked to the book somehow.

It's like an Agatha Christie novel fused with Groundhog Day. You'll start picking up on the patterns, and you'll be pleased with yourself when you're able to predict events, but the book will never stop surprising you.

very fascinating new take on english murder mystery style. very cool but a very large undertaking the first time. do think the author pulls it off. does get abit bogged down just bc of its new concept. if narrator could have varied voices just abit more; would have been easier to follow. narration was very good, however!! enjoyed this very much. would like to see more colors f this author and narrator! you

Just did not do it for me. Too much head hopping, too much time hopping (forward and backwards).

it was an entertaining read. However, there are a lot of characters, and after a while, one might get confused and not be able to keep track of them. I didn't much care about any one of them.

it starts slow and somewhat boring, but after the first 5 or 6 chapters, the plot picks up and it becomes complex. jumping and following which characters the protagonist gets is fun, but will confuse anyone who isn't paying too much attention. clues and reveals make sense, so pay off is satisfying and there's no unearned plot twist. a black mirror-esque, mystery in a historical setting. recommended, definitely worth listening to.

Please give this book at least 3-4 hours of listening if you are going to try it. I almost discarded it in disgust for the laughable portrayal of amnesia, but it gets better. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I also wouldn’t be surprised if this is made into film someday.

A unique perspective that kept me guessing all the way to the end.

Amazing and well written story. The twists, turns, and time leaps will keep you engaged to the end. The narrator does an amazing job of trying to embody a whole cast of characters just as the main character of the story is also doing. I completely binge listened and was as sad as I was satisfied to reach the ending.

This book started out pretty good, then just got too repetitive and actually boring. There were so many characters to follow that it just lost interest for me. I thought the narrator did an excellent job with all the characters and would highly recommend him.

This was undoubtedly a well-written book, with an original concept and intricate plot. But I really did NOT enjoy it. I think part of the problem was the narrator, who began to grate on me after a while (especially the voices he did for the female characters), and I also think this complicated book is probably just not well suited to an audio format. But there's also the fact that in spite of the large cast of characters, most of them are horrible people, and you know less about the protagonist than ANYONE else in the book. Kind of makes it hard to care about the outcome for anyone.

This book was surprisingly good! All the twists and turns had me on the edge of my seat. I thought I had it all figured out, and then the ending blew my mind. This is definitely worth the almost 18 hours listen!

I just could not get in to this book; it was a struggle to finish it. The characters were annoying and some aspects of the plot line were overly contrived, even for a genre which is contrived by definition.
