Abridged Audiobook
a very well researched and enjoyable listen the detail it went into was brilliant and I loved listening. My only criticism is the narrator who at times seems to go quiet then suddenly lound this happened through out the audio
I thoroughly enjoyed Ibrar’s Book “1994 The Untold Story of a Tragic and Controversial Season”. It was beyond well researched and explained. I am very hard to impress when it comes to F1 books, as I am what one would call “obsessed” with the subject of Grand Prix racing, and especially books/movies/documentary/ reading material regarding formula 1 in the 80’s/90’s. Ibrar did a fantastic research job and an even better job at laying down the fact and tracing a clear, and more importantly, impartial picture of the events ( numerous at that) unfolding in that particular season. I feel that even someone not that well versed on the subject would be able to navigate, the, at times, numerous twists and turns that this particular season had in stock. And even as someone well versed on the situation, I found some bits of knowledge I was previously unaware of. And although I was wishing for him to come to the conclusion that Benetton did in fact cheat their way to the championship ( I’m a willams/hill man through and through) he did a marvellous job at laying the facts, paint a neutral picture, and draw sensible conclusions. All and all a fantastic read/listen. I picked up the audiobook for traveling purposes, and it made crossing Canada from shining sea to shinning sea a fun activity for once. Well done.
